Notre sélection de montres
Here we present a very rare and splendid Fifty Fathoms No Radiation with a 37.5 mm diameter case. Very few models were produced in this diameter. The dial is exceptionally beautiful. It underwent a complete overhaul at the end of 2024.
The Gendarmerie Maritime has its origins in the corps of Navy provosts and archers, whose origins can be traced back to 1337. In 1627, its role was defined as follows: “Its duty is to police the Navy, seize and try offenders, and investigate piracy and other crimes committed by French sailors”. The first legal text defining the role of the corps was produced in 1648: “They will ride along the coasts, shores and ports of our seas, cleanse them of thieves and pirates, prosecute deserters from the naval armies, bring them to trial with the power to enforce rulings and commissions issued on behalf of the Navy”. Today, it carries out maritime safety and general policing missions in territorial waters, under the authority of the Maritime Prefect; judicial police missions under the authority of the Public Prosecutor; protection missions for Navy establishments on land; and assistance missions for people in danger. Here we present ZRC series 3. This is an exceptional timepiece that belonged to the prestigious “Gendarmerie Maritime de Méditerranée” army corps, as attested by the register kept by Yves PASTRE, a watchmaker approved by the French Navy and based in Toulon. The register extract will be given to the buyer along with a bronze medal measuring 14 cm in diameter and weighing 600 grams, bearing the effigy of the Gendarmerie Maritime (see photos). This is an exceptional set for connoisseurs of military watches, particularly those issued to the Gendarmerie.

Much rarer than the Seamaster 300, this Omega Seamaster 120 now appears to be one of the best value for money models in Omega's diving watch range. Generally known as ‘Deep Blue’. This beautiful version has an automatic 565 movement, a thick brushed case and is in perfect condition. For us the most beautiful of the seamaster 120.
For those who want a quick summary, here it is. The Longines Super Compressor appeared at a time when one activity was booming: recreational diving. Unlike technical diving, recreational diving uses a classic mix and remains at particular depths, very often below 30 metres, except for the most experienced divers at the maximum threshold of 60 metres. Obviously we are talking about this in 2024, but at the end of the 1950s when Longines presented its Super Compressor reference 7042, this type of diving was still in its infancy. This enabled Longines to position itself in relation to the other major watch brands, which were also beginning to offer divers, even as early as the early 1950s. Its name, Super Compressor, derives from the innovation of its case, manufactured by the then champions Ervin Piquerez S.A., which increases the pressure on the case back as the depth (and therefore the pressure) increases. The result is a watertight watch. Its identity is also its charm, and is characterised by a large 42 mm case with long lugs, and of course its two crowns enabling the classic time setting, but also activation of the internal bezel graduated over 60 minutes. The watch we are presenting is in quite exceptional condition and works perfectly.
Béguelin & Cie, a very old Swiss company, was founded in 1903. Béguelin & Cie, which made blanks for many other Swiss brands, became a manufacturer in the 1940s when the DAMAS brand was created. This splendid 42 mm-diameter watch features a beautiful ‘rose des sables’ dial with an incredible uniform patina. It is a ‘compressor’ model with two crowns, one of which drives an inner bezel in perfect working order. This is the same case as the Longines Diver or the Jeager Lecoultre Polaris. This watch has an exceptional presence.
