De même, sa grande couronne moletée offrait une prise sûre aux doigts gantés, du pilote ou du navigateur.

This model, with its original size, was inspired by the patent for a watch registered in association with Longines by Major PVH Weems, a simple and decisive invention that enabled the watch to be synchronised to the exact second, with the radio time signal, by means of the bezel on the outside of the central dial. At the beginning of the last century, such dimensions made the watch easy to read and handle in the semi-darkness and vibrations of the aircraft of the time. Similarly, its large knurled crown provided a secure grip for the gloved fingers of the pilot or navigator.
