Omega Seamaster PAF 135004-63

Nous vous présentons ici une très rare Railmaster habillée en Seamaster à la demande de la Pakistan Air Force livrée à ce corps d’Armée le 30 novembre 1964 comme en atteste l’extrait d’archive de la maison Omega. A l’époque la Pakistan Air Force ne souhaitait pas recevoir des montres faisant référence aux chemins de fer qui au Pakistan à cette époque étaient encore sous contrôle Britanic.
Cette montre présente un cadran patiné de route beauté. Elle a fait l’objet d’une révision complète et fonctionne parfaitement.
Particularité : seule une copie de l’extrait d’archive sera remise avec la montre, le précédent propriétaire ayant égaré son original à l’occasion d’un déménagement. Oméga ne réalisant plus de nouveaux extraits d’archive depuis quelques mois refuse même pour l’instant de délivrer des duplicatas d’extraits déjà délivrés. Cependant Omega nous a confirmé que pour les seuls duplicatas sa position pourrait évoluer dans les mois à venir. En effet il s’agit juste de réimprimer un document qui l’a déjà été et aussi payé lors de la commande par le demandeur.

A noter : les index du cadran ont fait l’objet d’une restauration.

We present here a very rare Railmaster dressed as a Seamaster at the request of the Pakistan Air Force and delivered to this army corps on 30 November 1964, as attested by the extract from Omega’s archives. At the time, the Pakistan Air Force did not wish to receive watches with references to the railways, which were still under British control in Pakistan at the time.
This watch has a beautiful patinated dial. It has undergone a complete overhaul and is in perfect working order.
Special feature: only a copy of the archive extract will be delivered with the watch, the previous owner having mislaid his original when moving house. As Omega has not been issuing new archive extracts for several months, it is refusing for the time being to issue duplicates of extracts that have already been issued. However, Omega has confirmed that its position on duplicates alone may change in the coming months. In fact, all that is involved is reprinting a document that has already been printed and paid for when the applicant placed the order.
